Information

DAY 1: MARRAKECH - AIT BENHADDOU - ZAGORA
Departure in the morning to the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass 2260 m above sea level via the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, visit the Kasbah of a fortified village (lunch on-site). Then make way for an excursion to Ouarzazate to continue towards Zagora via the anti atlas, the Berber village of Agdez and the Drâa valley with its procession of palm trees. Arrival in Zagora, exchange of minibusses by dromedaries to admire the sunset and spend the night in a tent. Dinner and overnight in bivouac under the tent.

DAY 2: ZAGORA - OUARZAZATE - GORGES DE DADES
After the sunrise and the Berber breakfast at the foot of the dunes of Zagora, take a camel ride, then you will take the road to Ouarzazate passing through the Draa valley. Once in Ouarzazate, you will change groups to join the Merzouga group after lunch. We will continue our journey to the Dades Gorges in the afternoon. Our next arrival will be in Dades to spend the night at the hotel.

DAY 3: THE GORGES OF DADES - THE GORGES OF TODRA - THE DESERT OF MERZOUGA
After breakfast, cross the road of 1001 Kasbahs to Tinghir. Upon arrival at this ancestral oasis, you can enjoy a stroll along the Todgha River. Visit the Berber villages and Kasbah. And admire the incredible immense cliffs of the canyons of Todgha then the fingers of monkeys…! Treat yourself to a delicious Berber lunch in the Gorges before continuing to Merzouga.
Upon arrival at Erg Chebbi, meet your camel caravan at the end of the road. Ride a camel and get carried away on the changing sand dunes to admire the sunset from the top of your mount. You will arrive at your Sahara Desert camp just before it is dark. After settling in your tent, enjoy climbing one of the nearby sand dunes to feel the tranquility of the desert. A well deserved Moroccan dinner will be served under the stars. Around the campfire, your camp hosts will entertain you with their Tamtam drums. Take advantage of the nearby dunes to admire a large screen of shooting stars and constellations. Overnight at your Sahara Desert camp.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH
After sunrise and breakfast, you will take a camel ride to return to Merzouga. Return to Marrakech via the Anti Atlas mountains. Once in Ouarzazate, you will visit the film studio (a place of the world film industry) if you wish. You will have lunch in Ouarzazate. In the afternoon, we will continue the road crossing the High Atlas mountains and the Tizi N-Tichka pass. Return to Marrakech.

What to remember
Please make sure to bring warm clothes in winter (no sleeping bags), light clothes in summer, sunscreen, a hat, good walking shoes, a flashlight, and pants (for the camel trek). Shorts and skirts are not recommended for trekking due to rubbing with stools which can cause skin irritation.
